COMMUNITY YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP AUDITION Friday, May 2, 2025, 6 - 7 p.m.  Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Studios | Byham Center for Dance 2900 Liberty Avenue | Pittsburgh, PA 15201 Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School invites children ages 7-9 to audition for  full scholarships  for the 2025 - 2026 school year ! Students must be 7 - 9 years old as of Sept. 1, 2025. REGISTER Audition Process : The audition is a fun, age-appropriate dance class. From the audition, a panel of PBT School educators will select 15 students to participate in a PBT School Summer Workshop, June 9 - 12, 2025, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. After the Workshop,  seven students will then be selected to receive Community Youth Scholarship  (CYS) scholarships for the 2025 - 2026 school year. A Stunning New Look at a Strindberg Classic Now Thrilling Audiences at Carnegie Stage

When I tell a certain friend that I’m planning on going to see a play I’ve already seen in the past, he asks in amazement why I’d possibly want to see something I already saw. To me the answer is obvious – different actors, different set, costumes, director, technical elements. It’s almost like seeing something completely different. It’s even said that, if you go to the same play during its run, you can experience different nuances, shades, tones and distinctions every time you go. To prepare myself for the Sunday matinee of “Miss Julie,” now getting a staging by Pittsburgh International Classic Theatre at Carnegie Stage in Carnegie, I watched the film “Miss Julie” on YouTube the evening before. The film, directed and adapted from August Strindberg’s original play by Liv Ullmann, stars Jessica Chastain as Miss Julie, Colin Farrell as John and Samantha Morton as Kathleen.
