“Hangmen” – Set and Ready to Rope You In

            By now, it should be fairly obvious to Pittsburgh area theatergoers that Andrew Paul has an affinity for the works of playwright Martin McDonagh.           As co-founder and artistic director of PICT Classic Theatre from 1996 to 2013, Paul produced three McDonagh plays, “Cripple of Inishman” (2000), “The Pillowman” (2006) and “The Lieutenant of Inishman” (2007). 🎶 Jazz, Heart, and Poetry in the Studio – July 31 with Jessica Lee

    STUDIO SUMMER JAZZ SERIES STUDIO JAZZ SERIES Jessica Lee Quartet "Music with a Message" Thursday, July 11 at 7 PM Join the Jessica Lee Quartet—with vocalist  Jessica Lee , pianist  Rick Gallagher , and percussionists  Alex Shallenberger  and  Noel Quintana —for a night of music that blends meaning, rhythm, and heart. "Music with a Message" invites audiences to slow down and listen closely to the poetry in the lyrics—through beloved jazz and blues songs as well as Jessica’s original compositions. This will be the debut performance of this particular quartet, and we’re excited to welcome them to the Studio for an evening of rich grooves, thoughtful storytelling, and great musicianship in an intimate setting. Tickets are $20 in advance, with prices increasing at the door the evening of the show. Beer and wine by donation.  Outside alcohol/BYOB is not permitted.   An event for everyone! There are several upcoming events at Gilfillan Farm and with the Historical Society of Upper St. Clair! SATURDAY, AUGUST 2 Art at the Farm The McMurray Art League has organized a food truck event showcasing their Plein Air artwork Proceeds from the event will be shared between Gilfillan Farm and the McMurray Art League. Go to the  McMurray Art League Events Page  to purchase entrance tickets. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 Garden Fete This year's theme is Farm to Table. Bingham Tavern will be cooking up delicious food incorporating items grown at Gilfillan Farm and from other local farms and vendors. Beer, wine and specialty cocktails will be poured. Andy Masich from the Heinz History Center will be at the Farm for thoughtful conversation. Tours of the big red barn will be available.
