Pittsburgh Botanic Garden invites all nature lovers to visit
and discover the unique heart-shaped additions throughout its 65 acres of
gardens and woodlands in February. During this month, admission will be half
price for adults and children, and as always free for Garden Members.
Visitor can dress warmly with proper footwear to explore the
snowy landscape and discover the hearts, handcrafted by Garden staff and
volunteers. Also included is Love, Interwoven a collection of weavings located
in the Welcome Center. This exhibition is an exploration of care, labor and
interconnection through the language of textiles. The featured Pittsburgh based
artists of Love, Interwoven include: LaVerne Kemp, Carolyn Carson, Andrew
Eppich, Justin Weaver and students of The neighborhood Academy.
Visitors can also enjoy heart-themed specials in Canopy Café
and shop for nature inspired merchandise along with spring gardening tools,
seeds and décor.
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is located at 799 Pinkerton Run
Road, Pittsburgh 15071. Garden features include Garden of the Five Senses,
Allegheny Plateau Woodlands, and Hillside Pollinator Garden. To purchase

Fall/Winter hours are Tuesday - Sunday 9 am – 5 pm; Monday Closed. Canopy Café
is open Tuesday – Sunday 10 am – 3 pm, full lunch menu served 11 am – 2 pm.
