“Voices of Pittsburgh”
Announcing Our 2025 Pittsburgh Performs Series |
| |
Now in its 11th season, Chamber Music Pittsburgh’s Pittsburgh Performs series allows us to shine a light on the incredibly creative musicians who call Pittsburgh home, while getting us out of traditional concert halls and into the community. The 2025 Pittsburgh Performs Series, Voices of Pittsburgh, features some of Pittsburgh’s talented vocalists in four artist-curated summer concerts. You can look forward to powerful and poignant musical experiences that uplift, inspire, and celebrate both the utter simplicity and the rich complexity of the human voice. |

| | | Born in New York City, violinist Manami Mizumoto began her musical journey at the age of three. Her early love for chamber music quickly grew into a lifelong passion for collaboration—one that now fuels her work as both a performer and musical explorer. Manami’s curiosity extends across centuries. She is a founding member of Nuova Pratica, a collective of composer-performers who bring historical improvisation practices into contemporary music-making. She also co-founded Harmonia Stellarum Houston, an ensemble dedicated to uncovering and performing newly rediscovered vocal-instrumental works from the 17th and 18th centuries. We are excited to introduce her to Pittsburgh audiences next spring, as she joins Ruckus and Davóne Tines in their CMP concert at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center. |
| | 🎼 National Chamber Music Month 🎼 |
| Celebrate National Chamber Music Month this May by supporting our mission to foster an appreciation for chamber music in Pittsburgh! We aim to present both world-class and emerging artists to our audiences while offering educational programs and opportunities to the various communities of Pittsburgh. |
