There are exciting things on the horizon for Resonance Works, but they come amidst the shadow of the recent dismantling of the National Endowment for the Arts and the rescinding of millions of dollars in support. This affects all of us who know the importance and power of creative expression and value its presence in our lives and communities.
So, how can YOU help support Resonance Works and other arts organizations in your community? Here are just a few of the powerful actions you can take:
👏 Boost the signal. Sharing a social media post, tagging the organization when you attend an event, or engaging with their content by liking and commenting is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to help.
🎟️ Become a subscriber. Instead of buying single tickets for each show, consider buying season tickets. It typically comes with a discount (ours is 15%), and it’s one of the most sustainable ways to show your support.
👯 Bring a newcomer. The arts are for everyone, but it can be hard to try something new on your own. YOU can be the catalyst that creates a new opera fan, theater lover, or art aficionado by sharing your passion with a friend or loved one.
🕰️ Make your donation recurring. With grants in shorter supply, individual donations matter more than ever—but it’s easy for the task to slip your mind! Instead of a yearly or biannual donation, consider switching to monthly or quarterly installments at the amount that’s meaningful to you. It can help you to better stay in budget, and it’s one more thing to take off your plate.
📣 Become an advocate. Tap into your inner opera singer, and use your voice to speak up for the arts. Connect with your local and national representatives by calling, writing, emailing, or even engaging with their social media, and tell them how important the arts are to you and your community.
Thank you for being a part of the Resonance Works community. We can’t do this without you!
