| The day is finally here: the announcement of our 2026/27 season! We can’t wait to share what we have in store. Our 14th season is a meditation on time itself: how we move through it, what we carry, and what we leave behind. (Subscriptions will be available later this month!)

| | Our season opens with An Anchor in Time, a concert featuring our Resonance Chamber Orchestra, Festival Chorus, and soloists Timothi Williams and Daniel Teadt. Gilda Lyons’ An Anchor in Time, originally commissioned for Resonance Works’ 10th anniversary season, looks to the past and future through the words of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Søren Kierkegaard, Christina Rossetti, and the voices of children speaking to memory, the present moment, and their tomorrows. It’s paired with Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring Suite, which explores America’s tension between tradition and change, and a choral time capsule, with music spanning centuries from Monteverdi to present day. | | The Little PrinceNovember 20-22, 2026Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall, Carnegie, PA |
| | Back by popular demand, Resonance Works revives its “magical” (OnStage Pittsburgh) production of The Little Prince, Rachel Portman's enchanting opera for all ages, based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's timeless story. Featuring a cast of incredible Pittsburgh-based artists in a charming production by Keturah Stickann, The Little Prince is a feast for the eyes and ears. Children will love its adventure, while adults will recognize themselves in the foolish grown-ups the prince meets along the way—and all are reminded of the importance of seeing with the heart. Auditions for the lead role of The Little Prince will take place in early June! |

| | Our Reson8 Vocal Octet takes center stage for David Lang’s Pulitzer-prize winning little match girl passion in three stunning sacred spaces. Based on the beloved story by Hans Christian Andersen, and reframed through the structure of Bach's Saint Matthew Passion, the little match girl passion reminds us not only to open our eyes to the suffering of others, but that hope and beauty can exist, even in the darkness. These intimate and deeply moving performances will also feature contemporary works by Errolyn Wallen, Gilda Lyons, Kristin Kuster, and others. Learn more… |

| | Rachmaninoff: All-Night VigilMarch 19 & 21, 2027Heinz Memorial Chapel, Oakland |
| | Resonance Works returns to the historic Heinz Memorial Chapel for two performances of one of the most stunning works in the choral repertoire, Rachmaninoff's All-Night Vigil. Composed in less than two weeks in the winter of 1915, as World War I raged and Russia teetered on the brink of revolution, Rachmaninoff's choral masterpiece asks us to sit with our grief, uncertainty, or hope, and to trust that the morning will come. These concerts are dedicated to the memory of Pittsburgh musical legend, conductor and educator Robert Page in honor of his 100th birthday. |

| | Verdi’s Don CarloJune 18 & 20, 2027Hillman Center for the Performing Arts, Fox Chapel |
| | Our 14th season concludes with Verdi’s tale of sacrifice and betrayal, Don Carlo, not seen in Pittsburgh for 30 years. One of the operatic canon’s darkest and most psychologically rich operas, Don Carlo exists in a world where love has been sacrificed to power, idealism crushed by institutions, and every character must reckon with the life they chose. Verdi’s passionate and powerful score will be sung by an incredible cast of acclaimed artists, including Robert Frankenberry in the title role, Natalie Polito as Elisabeth de Valois, Sergio Martinez as King Philip II, Leah Heater as Princess Eboli, Joshua Jeremiah as Rodrigo, and Paul Chwe MinChul An as The Grand Inquisitor.
