Free concert downtown at Arts Landing

 

A Landing Ovation
Join the Pittsburgh arts community on Thursday, September 24 at 6:00 PM for a free concert celebrating Pittsburgh's new outdoor amphitheater downtown!

Three Pittsburgh arts organizations are joining together for A Landing Ovation, a free 90-minute season preview at Arts Landing featuring performances from Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and the newly merged Pittsburgh CLO and Pittsburgh Public Theater, in partnership with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, plus live music from the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, conducted by Pittsburgh Opera Music Director Antony Walker.

Food trucks will also be on site at Arts Landing for the performance. Register in advance for a chance to win a ticket prize pack to Fall 2026 performances by Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Pittsburgh CLO/Pittsburgh Public Theater.

Pittsburgh Opera is proud to announce its stellar class of 2026-27 Resident Artists:

Pittsburgh Opera’s Resident Artist Program is one of the country's leading training programs for young singers. Over 800 applicants from around the world regularly vie for just a handful of openings. After completing advanced education such as graduate degrees, Pittsburgh Opera’s Resident Artists further their careers under the guidance of the opera world's leaders and innovators.

Save the date for our Resident Artist Welcome Party on Sunday, September 13th generously hosted by Steve Seibert in his home in Crafton. Enjoy light refreshments, the good company of our FRIENDS of Pittsburgh Opera, as well as performances by Pittsburgh Opera guest artists.

Be one of the first to welcome our new and returning Resident Artists to Pittsburgh at this casual afternoon event... the perfect end to Summer!
