Kamin Science Center To Temporarily Close From Sept. 8-11

Kamin Science Center and Science of Speed, Powered by Lenovo will be closed from Tues., Sept. 8, to Fri., Sept. 11, for exhibit maintenance in preparation for the busy fall season.

The Science Center will use the four-day, mid-week closure to refresh and maintain exhibits and visitor experiences throughout all five floors of the museum.

Kamin Science Center will reopen on Sat., Sept. 12, welcoming visitors to explore hands-on science experiences and visitor favorites such as Buhl Planetarium, USS Requin submarine, the Rangos Giant Cinema, and the new Science of Speed experience.

Kamin Science Center is Pittsburgh’s most visited museum and the #3 Best Science Museum in the nation.

The play, the fifth in playwright Mark Clayton Southers’ series of ten works, each set in a different decade of the 19 th century, centers on two families living on a cotton plantation in 1822 Deep South Alabama.
