       The year is 1849, you’re strolling through New York City on a brisk autumn evening and decide to take in a lecture by a rising young author and literary critic named Edgar A. Poe.      What would that have been like?      A new Prime Stage Theatre play by Pittsburgh sci-fi/horror fiction writer Lawrence C. Connolly offers a glimpse of Poe’s celebrated magnetism in Mr. Edgar A.   Continuing a Waynesburg University tradition, the Lamplighters Touring Choir will present their annual fall concert Thursday, Nov. 6, from 5-6 p.m. in Roberts Chapel, led by director Melanie Catana. The program consists of the following songs: Keep Your Lamps arranged by Victor C. Johnson Lord of All by Phill McHugh and arranged by Fettke an Grassi Adoramus Te by Orlandus Lassus Psalm 34 arranged by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir The Lord Bless You and Keep You by Peter Lutkin and arranged by William Stickles Arirang by Russel Robinson Arirang is a traditional Korean folk song that will feature performances from the University’s Korean exchange students, Juyong Kang and Yoojin Park, and Dr. Sora Lee, the Lamplighters’ piano accompanist. Kang, a music major, specializes in playing the haegeum, a traditional Korean bowed string instrument, and will showcase her skills during the piece.
